About
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Master of Arts in Kinesiology, specializing in Sport Psychology. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over 15 years in the federal public service, working on health policy at the Privy Council Office and Health Canada, as well as serving as Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary of Economics at Treasury Board Secretariat.
My therapeutic approach is highly individualized and grounded in theory and evidence. While I tailor my work to each client’s unique needs, I frequently draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic modalities. My background as a high-performance athlete, including recognition as a CIS All-Canadian soccer player, also informs my perspective on motivation, resilience, and personal growth.
I am grateful to be supervised by Lori Deegan, a skilled and compassionate psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience in mental health care.
